After we've received you Scholar Intake Form information, we'll have a brief interview about your needs then personally match your scholar with one of our pre-vetted, certified teachers/tutors. We'll have a follow-up call and set up a date and time to get started. We will provide you with your tutor's contact information and you can begin reaching out to schedule tutoring sessions. If you prefer a quick phone call or meeting first, we can schedule that also. Once this process is complete, tutoring can begin on your schedule. You'll work directly with your tutor to confirm times, cancellations, reschedule, etc.

S.T.E.P. Tutors is a network of local educators with a varity of backgrounds. They include former and current teachers, college students, and professionals with specific expertise. Most are experienced educators. All tutors are thoroughly vetted with their backgrounds checked.

We understand that coordinating family logistics can be a challenge! For that reason, rather than you coming to a tutoring center, our tutors meet you at your desired location and work around your schedule. Our tutors are available to work in-home with an adult present, or on-site in a public location (i.e. library, cafe, book store, etc.). Due to concerns about the COVID-19 outbreak, many of our tutors have migrated to awesome online platforms for virtual tutoring. Please contact us directly with questions.

All tutoring sessions are $45 per hour. Clients can choose to pay-as-you-go at an individual rate. After the first lesson, if you decide to purchase a discount bundle, we will happily apply the cost of the first lesson toward the total bundle cost. Clients can also choose to go with one of our discounted bundles. All bundles are hourly packages (15 hours, 20 hours, 30 hours), to be used according to your own desired schedule. The larger the bundle, the greater the discount. If you want specific pricing for your needs, or a custom package, please contact us. We're more than happy to work with you and can be flexible according to your needs.

For pay-as-you-go tutoring sessions, the full amount is required upfront. For all discount bundles, we require a 30% deposit upfront. At the end of each month following tutoring, we'll invoice you for the total number of hours used in a given month. Payment is due by the 15th of every subsequent month, for the previous month balance. Hours are reduced from your total balance and used up as you need them. Of course, we are happy to discuss the terms of custom packages. Simply give us a call. We accept payments via PayPal Invoice, Venmo (@sbstep2020) or Cash App ($sbstep2020).

One of the reasons our clients love us is because of our bundles. Not only do we offer significant discounts on our bundles (as much as 15%), but we offer pay-per-session which allows clients to pay as you go. Here's an example of how our bundle package works: Let's say a client chooses the 30-session bundle (15% off discount) at the start of January. A deposit of $344.25 is required upfront (30% of $1,147.50). The deposit covers 9 of the 30 sessions. With the 30-session bundle (15% off), clients pay $38.25 per session. Here's the math: *30 (hours) x $45 (tutoring fee) - 15% (bundle discount) = $1,147.50 (total) **$1,147.50 (total) - $344.25 (deposit) = $803.25 (remaining balance)
